Q: Will solar affect the value of my house?
A: There is a difference of opinion with this question some experts say that it will add around 4% and some say it will only make the property more “saleable” we would recommend you seek advice from local estate agents on this matter as they know best about the area and value where you live.

Q: How long does it take to install a system?
A: This is dependent upon the installation most can be done in one day.

Q: I have a combi boiler does this mean I can’t have solar energy?
A: Most combi boilers can and will work with solar.

A: This again is false. Panels can be orientated in a east/west split or on a south facing end wall or on an A frame on a flat roof or even on an independent framework mounted in a garden space.

A: This depends on the type of system you have and how you use it but most experts say you should be able to reduce your hot water fuel bill by around 60/70% annually.

Q: What is the life expectancy of the system?
A: The life span of the panels is expected to be in excess of twenty five years.

Q: Can the panels be used to heat my radiators?
A: This is not possible due to the time of year that they work at their peak (summer) as most people have there central heating turned off.

Q: Will I need a new boiler?
A: No there is no need to change the heating boiler but the hot water cylinder normally does need to be exchanged for a twin coil style to except heat from your new solar system and from your existing heating boiler.

Q: How reliable is the solar system?
A: The system is very reliable. There is normally only one moving part in the system (the pump) so there is not a lot to go wrong.
